A BENEFIT FOR CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK

DETAILS

  • BOWL FOR A REASON is an individual bowling competition conducted in a bracket-style format, with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network.

    • Dates: June 22 – June 26, 2026 

    • Daily Bracket Times: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (hourly start times) 

    • Location: Branson Bowling, 2126 East State Hwy 76 Branson MO, 65616

    • 10th Frame Roll-Off (if needed) July 9, 2026 

    • Format: One game matches until final 4

  • Entry Fee:

    • $100 per bracket entry 

    Bracket Prize:

    • $200 awarded to each bracket winner 

    • Remaining proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network 

    Additional random prizes may be awarded at the discretion of management.

  • Any participant who bowls a perfect 300 game during official bracket play qualifies for $10,000.

    If only one participant achieves a 300: 

    • That participant wins $10,000 

    If more than one participant bowls a 300: 

    • A roll-off will be held on July 9 

    Roll Off Format: 

    • 10th Frame Roll-Off Only

    • If still tied, repeat 10th frame until someone wins

  • Each bracket consists of 8 individual bowlers 

    Single elimination format: 

    • Round One: 8 bowlers 

    • Round Two (Semifinals): 4 bowlers

    • Final Round: 2 bowlers 

    Match Play Format

    • Each match consists of one game using scratch scoring

    • The winner of each match advances to the next round

    • This continues until a bracket champion is determined

    Prize

    • The bracket champion will receive $200

    • Entry fee is $100 per participant

    Winners advance until a bracket champion is determined

OFFICIAL RULES

  • Participants must register in advance online (if space permits). 

    • A limited number of participants will be accepted. 

    Participants must provide: 

    • Full name 

    • Address

    • Phone number 

    • Email address 

    Event organizers reserve the right to assign participants to divisions, groups, and time slots. 

    Divisions May Include:

    • Recreational Bowler: Bowls occasionally for fun Average score under 120

    • Amateur Bowler: Bowls for fun, Average score 120-159

    • Advanced Bowler: Bowls competitively in leagues and tournaments average score over 160-199

    • Professional Bowler: Competitively bowls in tournaments, average score over 200

    Exact groupings are determined at the sole discretion of event management.


  • PRACTICE

    • Each participant will receive 3 minutes of practice prior to their first game 

    • No additional practice will be permitted

    LANE CONDITIONS

    Lanes will be oiled at the following times daily: 

    • 7:00 AM 

    • 11:45 AM 

    • 3:45 PM 

    Participants acknowledge: 

    • Lane conditions will change throughout each oil block 

    • No re-oiling will occur between brackets 

    • All participants compete under the conditions present at their scheduled time

    BOWLER EQUIPMENT

    • All bowling equipment must comply with standard bowling regulations 

    • Event staff reserves the right to inspect equipment at any time 

    • All play is scratch scoring (no handicap) 

    • This tournament will follow current USBC rules and regulations except where modified by these tournament rules:

    SINGLE ELIMINATION RULES

    • Bowlers are seeded randomly or by qualifying score

    • Head-to-Head matches

    • Winner advances, loser is eliminated

    • Continue until one champion remains

    MATCH PLAY RULES

    Game Format

    • One game per match (fast-paced)

    Scoring

    • Highest scratch score wins

    Ties

    • One ball sudden death until winner

    Pace of Play

    • One pair of lanes per match

    Late Players

    • 0 score for frames missed

    • Forfeit after 5 minutes

    Lane Movement

    • Stay on same pair during match

    • Final match will be on new pair

    Fouls, Re-Racks & Equipment

    • We will Follow general United States Bowling Congress standards: Foul line violations = 0 pins. Dead ball rules apply. No altering ball surface during competition.

    Automatic scoring systems are official unless otherwise determined 

    Any scoring disputes must be reported immediately

  • Participants must:

    • Display good sportsmanship at all times 

    • Follow all instructions from staff 

    • Refrain from disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior 

    Event management reserves the right to:

    • Disqualify any participant for misconduct 

    • Remove individuals from the premises without refund 

  • Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time 

    Late arrivals may forfeit: 

    • Practice time 

    • Frame(s) 

    • Entire match (at management discretion) 

  • All entries are final unless the event is canceled 

    In the event of cancellation: 

    • Full refunds will be issued 

    Event management reserves the right to:

    • Cancel, modify, or reschedule the event at any time for any reason 

  • All decisions made by:

    • Tournament directors 

    • Event staff 

    • Facility management 

    …are final and binding in all matters, including:

    • Rule interpretation 

    • Disputes 

    • Scoring issues 

    • Eligibility 

  • By participating in the Event, all participants grant Branson Bowling, facility, sponsors, and their representatives the unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide right and license to:

    • Photograph, video record, and otherwise capture their participation, image, voice, and likeness 

    • Use their name, biographical information, and performance results 

    For purposes including, but not limited to:

    • Advertising 

    • Marketing 

    • Social media 

    • Website content 

    • Promotional materials 

    • Press releases 

    Participants acknowledge and agree that:

    • No compensation will be provided for such use 

    • All media becomes the sole property of the Event Coordinator’s 

    • Such use may occur without further notice or approval 

    • Participants assume all risks associated with bowling and event participation 

    • Proper bowling attire and footwear are required 

    • No unsafe behavior will be tolerated

What is BOWL FOR A REASON?

Bowl For A Reason Bracket Tournament is an individual scratch bowling competition held at Branson Bowling to benefit Children’s Miracle Network. Bowlers compete in 8-person single-elimination brackets for $200 cash prizes and a chance at the $10,000 Perfect Game prize.


When and where is the event?

The event takes place June 22–26 at Branson Bowling, located at 2126 East State Hwy 76, Branson, MO 65616. Bracket spots are available daily between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM throughout the event dates, subject to availability.


How much does it cost to enter?

Each bracket entry is $100.


What can I win?

Each bracket winner receives $200. Any participant who bowls a perfect 300 game during official bracket play qualifies for the $10,000 grand prize opportunity.


How does the $10,000 Perfect Game prize work?

If only one participant bowls a perfect 300 game during official bracket play, they win $10,000 outright.

If multiple participants bowl a 300, a roll-off will be held on July 9. Each qualifying bowler will bowl 3 games, and the highest total pinfall wins the grand prize.


Each bracket consists of 8 bowlers competing in single-elimination match play. Each match is one scratch game, and winners advance until a bracket champion is determined.

How are brackets structured?


Can I enter more than one bracket?

No, only one bracket registry per bowler is permitted.


Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. Advance online registration is required unless spots remain available.


How early should I arrive?

Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled start time.


What are the lane conditions?

Lanes will be oiled daily at 7:00 AM, 11:45 AM, and 3:45 PM. Lane conditions will transition throughout each oil block, and no re-oiling will occur between brackets.
